How to photograph a room for a 3D interior concept

Photograph one connected room in a steady loop, with each view overlapping the last. Keep the camera height, orientation, lighting, and image shape consistent. Include the room boundaries and architectural details that connect one image to the next.

Prepare the room

Open curtains or blinds if they create harsh changes between views, turn on the same lights for every shot, and remove temporary clutter that hides corners or floor edges. Keep furniture that matters to the concept in place.

Use this shot list

1. Stand near the entrance and capture the whole room.
2. Move along one wall and keep part of the previous view in the frame.
3. Continue around the room instead of jumping to the opposite side.
4. Include doorways, windows, corners, and ceiling or floor transitions.
5. Add a closer image only when an important area is hidden in the wider views.

Keep the camera consistent

Use the same phone lens and hold it at roughly the same height. Avoid switching between portrait and landscape or mixing ultrawide and zoomed views. Do not use a panorama, collage, or heavily edited HDR image as a source photo.

Check the set before upload

• Do all images show the same room condition?
• Can you follow the walls from one image to the next?
• Is each major corner visible?
• Are important openings and fixed features clear?
• Are the images sharp enough to inspect at full size?

Judge the result as a concept

Compare the generated room with the photos before showing it to a client. Check openings, large furniture, room connections, and obvious geometry errors. Use a survey or measured plan for construction decisions.
